What we do 

The object of the Colchester Churches Charitable Trust is to extend Christian mission in the area of Colchester, Essex by making grants to help Parishes with their projects.

Our current grant making policy

We currently encourage applications only from Parochial Church Councils in the Church of England Deanery of Colchester.

Projects should involve the development, improvement, maintenance or preservation of a Church building or other building which is a PCC asset, where the work is intended to enhance the Church's ministry within and to the Parish.

Our current focus is on Capital projects, as we expect that Parishes will have viable plans for revenue income and expenditure, and for the ongoing viability of Capital projects.

We offer grants of up to 50% of the total project costs, with a maximum of £10,000 per Church or PCC building within any three year period.

As we wish to encourage Parishes engaging in new projects, we do not award grants where Capital project work has already begun.
